Fee's

At the first day of team practice there is a $50 registration deposit due.

If you register for a swimming event and cancel (scratch), you are required to reimburse the Shafter swim team a $2.50 scratch fee for each event scratched.

Swim Team Program: There are two fees: a registration fee and a family fundraising fee. The fees cover the cost of a high quality competition style team suit, the coaches’ salaries, insurance fee, pool projects, and entry fees for all of the meets.

Team Registration:
One child $125
Second child + $100
Third child + $100
Fourth child + $100

A minimum of $50 per child is due at the 1st practive April 13th at the "Kick Off" meeting at 2:00pm. You will not be allowed in the water without the minimum $50 and the forms signed. The remaining balance is due by May 1.

Team Family Fundraising Fee: There is a $200 fundraising fee per family (not per swimmer). Fundraising opportunities include selling to local businesses, ad space in the program for the Shafter Swim Meet on June 13. Fundraising will be explained at the “Kick Off” meeting. Fundraising is due May 29.

Team Swim Meets: We hope you will appreciate the positive family environment and affirmations that go with the meet experience. Refer to the schedule of meets. Parents take their swimmers to the meets and serve as lane timers. The Stingrays will host an A-meet June 13, and a B-Meet July 7. Parents must help run these meets. Keep these dates open.

Bubblers Program: Created in 2004, this program has been a successful addition to our swim team. It’s a 6-week program which starts on April 27 and ends June 5. Bubblers must be at least 4 years old by April 27 and be able to cooperate fully with the coaches. The class maintains a ratio of 6 swimmers to 1 coach, and each bubbler receives individualized instruction appropriate to their level of ability.

Bubbler Registration: The bubbler registration fee is $175 and includes a competition style team suit. A minimum of $75 is due at the April 13 meeting. The balance is due by May 1. If desired, your child may “graduate” and join the swim team at the end of the 6-week program. A bubbler graduating to the swim team will need to fulfill a reduced Team Family Fundraising Fee of $100 but it is waived if siblings have already fulfilled a Team Family Fundraising Fee of $200.

Form's

Entry Forms: All swim strokes (freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, breastsroke) will be represeneted at each meet. The different events are chosen by the hosting team and will vary from meet to meet. Your age is based on your age on the day of the swim meet. "Six and under" and "Fifteen and Up" are combined age categories. Each meet announcement is placed in the family folder two to three weeks befre the meet. Entry forms are due not later than the deadline listed. Enter the swimmer's best time for each event or enter N.T. (no time) if the swimmer has not achieved a time from an earlier meet or from a timed practice. The Best Times Binder has a record of the best times swimmers achieve at each meet.
